Eunuchs are They really blessed or ......

Eunuchs ....who exactly are they ..I m sure everybody who is in the possesion of a lil grey matter would have thought about this question once...so did I; in fact they fascinates me as the GOD's creation ....as the third gender so there must be something special about them...Their face is their fortune. Caked in cheap rouge, kajal, powder and lipstick, they dress in ill-fitting blouses and colourful saris in a grotesque parody of womanhood as they roam the busy marketplaces in groups, terrorizing pedestrians, hustling for ten or a hundred rupees. These are not your average beggars on the street. With male voices shouting expletives, palms meeting crossways in a trademark clap, to the sight of the group collectively lifting up their saris and flashing castrated genital areas right in their faces.There are various description of their existence in ancient times...they are called "Bed Keepers" as they are castrated men and one such person would be the best to guard royal harems of Greek kingdom.
India is the only country where the tradition of eunuchs is prevalent today. There are about 1 million of them, though their role in life has changed.Eunuchs, or hijras as they are called here, have become something to be feared. Nobody wants to be accosted by one of them - be nudged with their elbows, stroked on the cheek, taunted, cursed and flashed.And taking the advantage of this discomfort they today are making their living Begging isn't their only source of income. It's an age-old custom in the country to have hijras bless childbirths, weddings, housewarmings and other auspicious occasions. The eunuchs are believed to possess occult powers, and their blessings - and curses - are both considered potent.
What happens in these ghettoes is a mystery few know about. Most people, in fact, have no notion about how hijras come to be. Some believe they are simply born that way - males without the male genitalia - while others will tell you that they are really men who were forcibly castrated in their youth.
Both views are true, though natural eunuchs are a very rare occurrence and castration isn't always by force. An `operation' as hijras call it, is cause for huge celebrations in the community. It is performed out of doors, and feasts, song and dance are rituals that attend the event, which is orchestrated by the head of the community known as Gurus.

But the irony is that in country like India where eunuchs are believed to hace supernatural powers have the most pathetic condition in the world . All over the world their condition has improved a lot but in india they are still discriminated and are neglected of their true civil rights.A community which was discrimnated by tha nature as well as by man,and which devoted their life for god and state, are as much worth of repect as we are. Lets all we come for their upliftment and help them to live a dignified life.
But now time is changing and so are their conditions ..leaving all this discussion behind i would like to discuss the mythological facts about their supernatural powers...


the fact dates back to Ramayan era ..it is told in Valmiki's Ramayan that on returning to Ayodhya after defeating Ravan Lord Rama found dat community of kinner(Eunuchs) who were waiting for shree Ram..... reason was when shri Ram was leaving Ayodhya in the starting of his vanvas the whole crowd of Ayodhya was following him.
Then shri Ram requested and said "All the men n women please go back to Ayodhya ".

When Shri Ram returned .He found d community of Eunuchs waiting for him..when he asked the reason ..then they replied "Prabhu u asked all the men and women to return back we neither men nor women so how can we disobey ur orders..so we were waiting for you"

Shri Ram was so shocked by there spirit ..he gave them the blessing that who ever they wud bless will be blessed for lifetime or whom so ever they choose to curse will b cursed till the death"

From that time onwards Eunuchs are Known for their blessings.

So think about this fact in future while facing any eunuch ..he may be empowered by Lord Rama's true Self.....
